Avenir d'enfants is a non-profit organization (NPO) that
provides support to local communities mobilized to
foster the overall development of children aged five and under
living in poverty, so that every child has the chance to benefit
from a good start in life.
A joint initiative of the Quebec Government and the Lucie and
André Chagnon Foundation, Avenir d'enfants was founded with the mission of offering
guidance and financial support to collective actions and
community-developed projects.
To reinforce this action strategy, Avenir d'enfants promotes knowledge
sharing by supporting initiatives that enhance the knowledge
and know-how required to promote the well-being of children and
their families.
Avenir d'enfants is financed by public and private funds and
managed by a board of directors.
