To date, the Avenir d'enfants board of directors has decided to support three types of knowledge-sharing projects.

Knowledge-transfer projects

  • The training program Jeux d'enfants offered by Cégep de Saint-Jérôme to implement this activity throughout Québec.
  • The custom training sessions Portés par la qualité, designed for educators and managers at the CPEs (public daycares) in Abitibi-Témiscamingue
  • The Agora project presented by the Fédération Québécoise des Organismes Communautaires Famille (FQOCF), offering training on autonomous family community action practices.
  • The Municipalité amie des enfants program to improve the structure and support offered by the Carrefour Action Municipale et Famille, in order to impact early childhood development and children's environment.
  • The prevention of violence and aggression program for young aboriginals and their families, set up in two communities chosen by the First Nations of Quebec and Labrador Health and Social Services Commission.
  • The creation of an educational program adapted to community stop-over centres that are members of the Association des haltes-garderies communautaires du Québec (AHGCQ).
  • The inclusion of a Quality function in the CPEs and coordinating offices (BCs) to guide and support the efforts of their workers and enhance the quality of early childhood educational services.
  • The acquisition and transfer of community-based social pediatric knowledge by the Fondation du Dr Julien.
  • Adapting a model for Quebec to improve child assistance and protection, presented by the AIDES Initiative.
  • The in-depth study of the integrated perinatal service model proposed by La Maison Bleue.
  • Enhancing workers' knowledge of the preschool path experienced by Montreal children and their parents' reality, particularly those from disadvantaged communities, an initiative of the Direction de la santé publique of the Agence de la santé et des services sociaux de Montréal.
  • The adaptation and distribution of a health and development guide, presented by the Institut national de la santé publique du Québec (INSPQ).
  • The pilot project in the Saint-Michel community of Montreal intends to devise a neighbourhood-based plan reflecting its local vision for change.
  • Implementing the Québec version of the Family to Family system in three regions: an Association des centres jeunesse du Québec pilot project.
  • The Abinodjic project, an initiative of the Val-d'Or Native Friendship Centre, fosters knowledge construction and the development of transfer mechanisms through an innovative social project.
  • The RCRPQ's VICTOIRES project will document the key role and the impact of services offered by perinatal resource centres to families living in poverty.
  • The proposed project of Fondation OLO aims to foster the early development of healthy eating habits to ensure children get a good start in life.
  • The objective of the Initiative amis des pères project is to promote father involvement, a key condition underlying the healthy development of children, mothers, fathers and families.
