Your community has mobilized to implement an activity-based
project that promotes the development and well-being of
children aged five and under living in poverty, and you wish to
receive financial support and guidance from Avenir d'enfants to
design, develop and implement concerted actions in this regard.
Your community-led project can be developed and implement with
our financial and advisory support if it meets the following three
criteria:
-
It is made up of a core group of partners who
have mobilized to help children aged five and under living in
poverty. These partners must come from different areas of activity,
including principally but not exclusively:
- health and social service centres (CSSSs);
- educational daycare services (early childhood centres or CPEs,
coordinating offices, daycares);
- schools;
- community family organizations;
- municipalities.
Parental involvement is essential to mobilizing the entire
community for child development and well-being. Their contribution
can vary from one group to another, however, to take into account
particularities such as linguistic diversity, geographic distance
of parents, etc.
-
It coordinates or is currently coordinating its actions with
other local or regional groups working on issues related to child
development and well-being, with the goal of favouring consistency
and complementarity in actions
-
Your project must:
- support the overall development of children aged five and under
living in poverty, to facilitate their transition to school and
their subsequent education;
- encourage the overall development of these children as early as
possible and on all levels (physical, psychological, cognitive,
language, social and affective);
- support the parents from the onset of pregnancy, by giving them
the tools most likely to contribute to this development.
If you think your projects matches these three criteria,

support and formulating your request before April 15th or
